When we talk about Victoria’s Secret👄, the first thing that crops up in our mind is the ultra sensuous and sexy lingerie 👙of this brand. Not to forget the brand has featured supermodels and a world-famous runway show. So, knowing all this and having seen these colourful bottles, I knew that these pretty bottles are definitely on my shopping list in USA. I pop into the VS store and mannnn! I just could not take my eyes off the whole shelf of the fragrances, colourful bottles of mists, body care, accessories and athletic and lounge wear placed so beautifully. I shopped a lawttttt, but today I will post a review of their amazing range of mists with delicious scents.

There is the VS ‘Secret Crush’ and ‘Total Attraction’ for you in the post.

Fragnance: Floral

Product says: Refreshing formula is infused with conditioning 🍀Aloe Vera💚 and calming Chamomile. Spray on for a touch of scent.

What I Think: The whole packaging is super chic with inner mist being transparent in colour. It gives a very girly vibe 💃when you look at the bottles. The pinks 🌸and reds 🌹grab your attention immediately and you can’t resist the temptation to use these. ‘Total Attraction’ infuses a floral fragrance and takes you to another aromatic world. Its just a press away, which makes it super easy to use. The scent of ‘Secret Crush’ is fruity floral and smells of peaches & peony. These are very sweet and soothing in the spring/summer days. However, the staying power is not more than 4-5 hours but my gracious lady, look how hot and sweaty does the weather make you. You gotta spray this 2-3 times maybe if you are outdoor. The only wish I have is that if they could bring in small bottles that fits in our bags. 😋

Lets Sum Up: Totally worth a buy! Grab all the fantasy fragrances you like, specially if you are in a country like India where VS is still to open a store. I am totally crushing over these mists and they are of great quality. Choose as per your taste so that you too feel refreshed this summer. ☀️

🎀Hello bbys! 🎀

Do these heads trouble you more than anything else on your face? But why do they happen? What are blackheads doing anyways in our life? 👃🏻 Today’s post is short and precise.

These small monsters occur when your pores are blocked by excess sebum & dead skin. And when these are exposed to the air they oxidize, which turns them black. I too have open pores but what do we girls dooooooo❓🙍

💦Step 1: Since blackheads are damn sticky, a way to loosen them up is by holding your face with a towel over your head over a bowl of hot water for about 10-15 minutes. Let the steam loosen up these pores for us.

😐Step 2: Try squeezing out some blackheads out as much as you can.

👉🏻Step 3: But the problem is actually dead skin. So, make sure that you get rid of the dead skin cells and for that exfoliate. It makes your skin soft and fresh.

👍🏻Step 1: A much easier option is using the strips to remove blackheads. But you really need to have some hair baby to let this way work for you. It does not do any wonders for me. Might just help you out. If you can’t find a strip for yourself make one of your own. Just use a tissue or clean toilet paper with egg whites and let it dry.

🍁Step 1: Are you DIY kinda person? Maybe yo could try some DIY remedies that can be left on for 10-15 minutes. Not all of these may work as everyone has different skin types but no harm in trying: egg white mask, lemon juice, warmed honey & cinnamon strips and baking soda & water.

Review: Soulflower Aroma Bath Salt – Ocean Blue

Relaxing bath! 💦Does that sound too much time consuming for your daily routine? Yes, a lot of you put rose petals 🌹and what not to get that long relaxing bath on a Sunday or maybe some other days. Have you heard of Bath Salts ever? I had heard of them but never actually tried one. Let’s try one this time. So the product I am reviewing today is Soulflower Aroma Bath Salt – Ocean Blue. 🌊

The first thing that attracted me was the colours. Looking at such beautiful colours can mesmerize anyone to go out there and grab atlas one of these. The same happened with me and I picked up the Ocean Blue Bath Salt.

My Review

I have been so much into aromas & fragrances these days that even having an aromatic bath routine was on my to-do-list. Yes! Everyone has a to-do-list and try to fulfil those things. Thats how life goes onnnnnnn…….Lol! (Back to the topic) These bath salts have a particular fragrance & are natural in nature. Going by how people use it, even I used this bath salt on a day I was super super tired.

What I do: Take 2 cups of bath salt and add it in hot water for about 5-10 minutes. Then I wait for water temperature to be as per my liking. The coarseness of the granules take sometime to dissolve & few other take time to settle down. If you want a relaxing pedicure & manicure, just add 1/2 or 1 cap of this salt in warm water and dip your hands💅🏻 or feet in it. This is really helpful when you don’t have time to visit your salons and want to quickly remove that dirt or smell or sweat or muscle aches.

Fragrance & Colour: There is a strong fragrance of citrus fruits 🍋🍊that quickly refresh your senses. I love being around water as it fascinates me & this bath salt too is super calming for me. It brings instant coolness to my bath routine.

Ingredients: Sea salts with kiwi 🍈& lemon 🍋extracts

Effects: It actually rejuvenates & relaxes my entire body amazingly 💪🏻. My muscles feel super relaxed and the stressed body is refreshed. The salts help to exfoliate & lemon actually kills bad body odour. If you have dry skin problem like me, this one here is fantastic. Kiwi helps to seal your moisture content.

Next time you are tired from your day’s work, grab this salt and take a warm relaxing shower. Happy Summer! 🌻🌻🌻🌻

Review: Celebon Seaweed Collagen Essence Face Mask

Happy mid-week all you beautiful people! Whoaahh, it’s been long that I posted my last post, and taddaaa I come back today with a beauty review on a drugstore mask sheet from Korea named Celebon Seaweed Collagen Essence Mask. I hope you like my brand new blog post.

I happened to pick this mask sheet while buying few band aids from a local drugstore in Bali. Seriously guys, if you ever go to the drugstores of other countries you find really good variety of just everything. It was here that I found this Korean mask sheet. Indeed I am always intrigued by the skincare regime of Koreans. The amount of time these people devote to their skin care regime is worth a praise. Everyone is loving Korean cosmetics these days. Is it because the products are phenomenal and that too when they are cheap and affordable? Well! Maybe but for now I can just give you a mini review on this super cute packaging mask.

It was just before a long drive to a new city that I felt my skin needed the missing freshness. Honestly, this mask is super cheap and super cool. By cool I mean like really cool for those scorching heats in Delhi summers. I used this mask for about 30 minutes and my skin felt super soft all day. The texture was different due to high content of Glycerin and ‘Collagen’ meant that this mask has gel texture. It actually brightened, moisturized and made my face smoother. It kept my tired skin elastic and relaxed it by its coolness. Vitamin E & Collagen provided nutrition to my tired skin and made it healthy and bright.

I have so much love for masks that are cool and hydrating as my skin is super dry and I always need that extra moisture all the time. The mask sheet is really easy to use, just apply to your face and you are done. I did not post a before and after picture as you cannot see the difference but you can feel it on your skin. It takes away the skin dullness and dryness. Have a look at the various varieties available: Seaweed, Green Tea, Aloe, Snail, Platinum, Cucumber. Super recommended! I really love this mask a lot.

Thats all for my mini review! Grab one of the variants of these masks as they are really really good and I am not promoting this brand guys. Everything I just scribbled is purely my own experience.  The only con is that these are not available in India. So, next time when you are flying keep an eye for these. 🙂

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream: Review & Swatches

Hello, my lovely dolls!855ea8d18e98d5fba36dee9d9a5a7fa7

Today I will be doing a small review and swatches for my favourite NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams. I’ve had these for a while now and currently possess few shades of these lip creams and I must tell you I am in love with them. It is available in 34 different shades but I haven’t seen these many in Delhi Sephora stores yet.

The colour range is beautiful from gorgeous nudes to bright bold, corals to reds and deep vampy shades.

For all the lipstick collection I have, I always come back to San Paulo as my all time favourite. It is a warm, mid-tone berry shade and is just perfect. I reach for it all the time. Those times when I am really confused about which lipstick colour matches my outfit I definitely go for this. Its a colour that goes with all my outfits whether western or Indian and adds that pop of colour to my sometimes boring outfits also. The next is Istanbul, which is a fun cool toned pink. Its very light in terms of a colour so I try to keep my eye makeup loud enough to compliment this shade. There is also Antwerp which is a warm, mid-tone coral pink. Pink is a colour that partners well with all my outings. For London, I would say that since I didn’t have a brown with me, I got this one for myself. I use this shade very less as I find it a bit pale for my skin colour but its beautiful if you like your browns. Its neither too dark nor too light. The last one is Amsterdam, a bright tomato red shade that instantly brightens up my face. Its not toooo bright as it falls on the subtle side. If you have not noticed yet, all the colours are on the names of countries.

I just have so much love for these lipcreams. They are soft on your lips, the texture is rich, creamy and feels like mousse. It’s moisturising effect does not let ur lips dry that easily. So it’s kinda matte + gloss both. These lipcreams last for about 5-6 hours. I would call these normal matte lipstick in liquid form. They glide on so smoothly and feels so so pleasant on my lips. The cherry on the cake is of course the vibrant smell of the product that is so divine, something like vanilla cupcakes. The fragrance does not last long but definitely makes you want to taste it a bit. The shades are highly pigmented so don’t apply multiple shades of the colour you are using.

The packaging is too cute with a small bottle. The tube shows the colour of the product and comes with a doe foot applicator. They are made of light weight plastic and makes them travel friendly.

Even though I have shown here swatches, I would highly encourage trying out on your lips/palms before purchasing.

These are easily available online in India. You can find these stocked up in Sephora Delhi so if you live here go to DLF Promenade (Vasant Kunj), Select Citywalk (Saket) and Ambience Mall (Gurgaon).

Hola! Holi Fun

Throwback to this time of the year. Yes! time for colours 867963e414bedef49c8be0cab9dcd5f7_rainbow-free-clipart-vector-clipart-rainbow-free_280-280is back. Are you crazy about the holi festival unlike me who loves dry gulaal and not the forceful scrubbing of gulaal? Look out EYE-R2-Cartoon-Eyes-Ring-Set_01for those youngsters laden with water balloons 122422f5e39e28bd5d8380c9c9ca702b_cartoon-balloon-clipart-1-cartoon-balloons-clipart_469-700, the traditional sweets candy-clip-art-Zkh9cZ-clipart.pngand of course the “cloud of colour” in the fun filled riot of colour 867963e414bedef49c8be0cab9dcd5f7_rainbow-free-clipart-vector-clipart-rainbow-free_280-280. Stay tuned for this wildly exuberant festival867963e414bedef49c8be0cab9dcd5f7_rainbow-free-clipart-vector-clipart-rainbow-free_280-280. One should however take few precautions before going out. Soooooo….I have listed out simple do’s and dont’s to make the best out of this holi, especially for you.

1) Go for Organic and natural colours that are skin friendly and natural for your skin. Use more of red and pink as it definitely looks too cute and good. No, no, no the reason is that these can be easily taken off. Purple, green, yellow, orange have more harmful chemicals and should be avoided.

2) Use colours in diluted form all the times. Mix your colours in water and be ready to encounter splash of colours.

3) Using old clothes is super idea. I always wear clothes that are full sleeved. So, you could go for a casual t-shirt with denims (don’s forget your socks) or an old indian suit to give that extra edgy look to the day of colours.

4) Lotion or coconut oil on face. This is the best possible thing to do before you head out. Add sunscreen to prevent tan or sunburn as well. Also, you get another excuse to Champi your beautiful tresses with your favourite oil.

5) Apply thick coat of nail paint on your finger and toe nails as a protectant.

6) Post the madness and fun use cleansing milk to clear off colour from face and coconut milk for body. Take warm shower bath and scrub using a loofah.

7) So this one is my personal favourite as I love to bathe in gram flour and milk scrub during holi times.

1) Never! Never! go for beauty treatments please. Put a hold to your facials, hair colouring plans a week before Holi.

2) No eggs, mud or gutter water if you are a cleanliness freak like me.

3) No metallic colours as they play spoilsport to for your skin. If you have sensitive skin, totally avoid these.

4) Don’t force people and drag them in when they do not want to play. Always play friendly holi without making it rough and rowdy 😛

6) Stay close to your home premises as you are definitely safe from those prying eyes ready to shoot a balloon on you.

7) Don’t use soap as it might dry up your skin. Instead use a cleansing lotion.

8) Don’s drive if you are high on bhaang 😛

Auspicious red.

Sunkissed gold.

Soothing silver.

Pretty purple.

Blissful blue.

Forever green.

Follow our tips and have a blast on this Holi. I wish u and all family members the most happy and colourful and safe……..Holi.

Reviews for MA Earth Botanicals’ Cleanser and Conditioner

Hi Beautiful People,

Its been a while that I wrote something on the blog. Do you know why? Something was keeping me busy. The whole idea of writing a review is only fruitful if you have used it yourself. Thats exactly what I was doing. I wanted to try it first and then write about what it did to my hair. This post is all about Ma Earth Cleanser and Conditioner. My constant desire to use chemical-free products took me to this brand, which I had never heard before. But using it completely changed my perception. I stopped using the other shampoo and conditioner from November 9 itself. I shifted to the cleanser and conditioner of Ma Earth Botanicals. But first let me introduce you to the brand.

The brand contains products for skincare, haircare and the overall well-being. It claims to be using 100% pure natural ingredients. Their products are chemical free, sulphate free, paraben free, contain no artificial ingredients, synthetic additives and no artificial fragrances. They are made from the highest quality essential oils, vegetable oils and unrefined butters by using the cold pressed method that helps to maintain its natural goodness and its healing properties.

Hair Cleanser: Sapindus Mukorossi (Reetha), Acacia concinna (Shikakai), Phyllanthus emblica (Amla), Eclipta prostrate (Bhringaraj), Bacopa monnieri (Bhrami), Jojoba Oil, Essential oil of Rosemary, Thyme, Cedarwood

Hair Conditioner: Aloe Indica (Aloe vera) extract, Phyllanthus emblica (Amla), Centella Asiatica (Gotu Kola), Glycyrrhiza glabra (Licorice), Trachyspermum ammi (Ajwain), Citrus × limon (Lemon) extract, Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary), Cedrus atlantica (Cedarwood), Cymbopogon Martini (Palmarosa) essential oils

  • Reetha, an important Ayurvedic medicinal herb cures problems of hairfall, dandruff, promotes hair growth and makes our hair shiny and silky.
  • Bhringraj prevents premature hair greying, prevents hairfall, stimulates hair growth, prevents split ends and conditions our hair.
  • Shikakai has been used for centuries in India for hair wash. It gently cleanses the hair, removes entire oil and conditions the hair.
  • Jojoba oil does not mess with the natural balance of our scalp. It hydrates the scalp and adds shine, elasticity and softness to the hair.
  • Rosemary helps in treating hair loss as it stimulates blood circulation in the scalp. The oil also helps to thicken hair and add shine to it.
  • Cedarwood and Thyme are well-known for their strong anti-bacterial qualities and help promote hair growth.

Personal Review

I have had a very dry scalp and I wash my hair twice a week for that. Initially, before shampoo I always applied an egg to give it the extra shine and moisture that probably the chemical shampoos steal away. Then I gave them a hot water spa treatment using the towel. It was then that I shampooed and conditioned my hair. Still there were times when my hair were super dry. Imagine if I take out the egg it means taking away my hair shine and making it all dull and lifeless. Honestly, from the time I started using these products my hair texture improved drastically from its very first use. This hair cleanser and conditioner definitely adds shine and softness to my hair. The cleanser actually needs lots of water to form that lather as it has thick consistency. The conditioner smells of amla, reetha, shikaki and gives a cooling effect. It is a runny liquid and brings back that smoothness when used correctly. When the hair is completely dry, I can actually see a natural fall that makes my hair look more manageable. Surprisingly, my hair have become slightly more straighter so maybe all those of you who desire straight hair can try this. It is touchable, attractive and has become way more healthier. If your hair lacks that shine and softness then definitely this is worth trying. It does do away with your dandruff but I would not say that it controls my hair fall. I still suffer from that problem and due to that there is no hair growth. Do not be disheartened if it does not solve all your hair issues as it is way more magical than those bottles out there on the shelves.

Instructions to Use

Hair Cleanser: Dilute one capful in water and massage lightly on your wet hair. Continue to massage for one or two minutes. Rinse well and follow with conditioner.

Hair Conditioner: Pour some conditioner on your hand and apply onto your wet hair. Leave it on for a few minutes, then rinse thoroughly.

The cleanser and conditioner comes in transparent bottles packaged in brown coloured boxes giving the details of each of the product. The whole packaging and presentation gives a very earthly feeling. Everything looks cute about it and you immediately feel like using them. I feel so happy to receive these and Ma Earth team’s gesture of sending  a sample Shower Gel and Rose Water Toner was very sweet.

I am truly gaga over these products and would definitely use the other products. Give your hair three-four washes before jumping to the conclusions. My hair never looked this better. Its actually amazing to see how there are people who still believe in the concept of bringing natural products from nature and making products out of them. Overall, I am quite happy with this product. I can’t convince all of you who have used it and that is quite expected. But for the new users its something to look out for.

(Note: I always do oiling before a shampoo and conditioning session)
